·         Pasteurised whole milk: 76.55 TL/l

Smaller Packs and Flavoured Milk

Consumers buying smaller sizes will also notice increases:

·         Flavoured milk: 22 TL

In addition to milk, KOOP SÜT confirmed that the revised prices also apply to ayran, yoghurt, halloumi, and other dairy products, signalling a broader rise across the dairy range.

For households, cafés, restaurants, and hotels, these increases represent a noticeable uplift in weekly and monthly food costs.

KIB-TEK Increases Fixed Electricity Charges

At the same time, the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has announced changes to electricity sales tariffs.

What Has Changed?

·         Fixed charges (maktu ücretler) have increased by 18.39%

·         The increase is directly linked to the rise in the minimum wage

What Has Not Changed?

·         The price per kWh of electricity consumed remains unchanged

KIB-TEK emphasised that the adjustment affects only the fixed portion of electricity bills, not actual usage-based costs. However, all consumers will still see higher base charges reflected in their bills, regardless of consumption levels.

What This Means for Residents and Businesses

North Cyprus price increases 2026 underline the continued pressure on the cost of living in North Cyprus:

·         Households face higher grocery bills and increased fixed electricity costs

·         Small businesses and hospitality venues must absorb rising input costs

·         Low-usage electricity customers may feel the fixed charge increase most acutely

With both food staples and utility charges affected, careful budgeting is becoming increasingly important in 2026.
